Grant Unit runs the NGOCC Basket Fund. It has been in operation since 2003. The money is meant to help in uplifting the living standards among the rural women who from time immemorial have continued to be marginalized in society. NGOCC however is proud to be associated with the vulnerable in society by way of giving a contribution to the various developmental projects that our member organisations are currently involved with.

One of the major challenges has always been to mobilize enough resources for the members. But  NGOCC strives to mobilize resources for the women’s movement aimed at improving lives of people. This is the reason why the Grant Management Unit would insist on our members to come up with sustainable projects.

The proposals to be successful are assessed on vulnerability of organizations, capacity of the organisations and sustainability of the projects just to mention a few. The idea is that assuming there is change in our donor’s policy, and we are not able to provide our members with further funding, the organizations should not die.
